FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMITTEE OF FRIENDS FOR HUMANITY (COFFHA)

Warm greetings to you as I write from my desk in my capacity as President of the Committee of Friends for Humanity (COFFHA), a non-profit organisation committed to serving individuals and families in the most vulnerable communities. Our work is driven by the strength of our diversity, shared resources, and collective experiences. For over three decades, COFFHA has remained steadfast in its vision of restoring hope, dignity, and social justice to the less privileged.

With hearts full of gratitude to God Almighty, I welcome you all to the year 2026. Indeed, we made it!

The year 2025 came with its share of challenges and triumphs. Globally and locally, we witnessed economic pressures, conflicts, health concerns, and moments of uncertainty. Yet, through it all, God’s faithfulness sustained us. We are standing today by His grace.

While some of our members and patrons experienced loss during the year, we thank God that the COFFHA family remains united and preserved. To God be all the glory.

Throughout 2025, we sustained our commitment to impactful service. From our community feeding initiatives to our outreach programs, including hospital visitations and support for indigent patients, COFFHA continued to bring relief, hope, and compassion to those in need. These efforts were made possible through the dedication of our members and the generosity of our patrons and donors.

One of the major highlights of the year was the successful Women Empowerment Initiative held on 28 September 2025 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel. This programme empowered women particularly those from rural and underserved communities with resources, skills, and opportunities to become economically self-reliant. Beyond the event itself, COFFHA remains deeply committed to continuous engagement with the beneficiaries, ensuring follow-up support, guidance, and monitoring to promote growth, accountability, and long-term productivity in the business initiatives empowered by COFFHA. This sustained approach reflects our belief that true empowerment goes beyond financial assistance, requiring mentorship, encouragement, and partnership over time.

As we step into 2026, my earnest prayer is that this year ushers in renewed economic stability, peace, good health, and greater opportunities for growth and service. May it be a year of favour, expansion, and deeper impact for COFFHA and for all we serve.

To our members, I encourage us to continue working hand in hand to uplift the poorest in our communities as this remains our solemn pledge.

To our patrons and donors, I extend my deepest appreciation for your unwavering support over the years. Your generosity and belief in our mission have been instrumental to our achievements and the positive impact we continue to make. You exemplify the values of compassion, social responsibility, and humanity.

I humbly ask for your continued support in this new year as we strive to empower lives, restore dignity, and create lasting change. To us all, let us choose kindness daily. A life well lived is not measured by material possessions, but by the lives we touch and the difference we make. As the Scriptures remind us in Hebrews 13:16 thus: “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

I reaffirm my commitment to working closely with my fellow executives to advance COFFHA’s goals with dedication and passion. Together, we look forward to a productive and engaging year filled with impactful programs that will inspire our donors, patrons, and partners- and most importantly, transform lives.

Please stay tuned for our upcoming annual programs. 2026 promises to be an exciting and fulfilling year.

Let’s keep working and keep believing!
