High Chief (Mrs.) Edith Nnacheta Mike-Ejezie
Chief (Mrs.) Edith Nnacheta Mike-Ejezie – Okeite Aguleri was born on the 23rd of June in the ’60s. She is the fourth child of ENGR. and MRS. ALBERT NNACHETA of Aguleri, Anambra State.
Chief (Mrs.) Edith Mike-Ejezie is a trailblazer with an LL.B, B.L. in Law, an MBA in Management, and a M.Sc. in Corporate Governance and Finance with additional certifications in Communications, Advertising, and Marketing (CAM). She is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chartered Institute of Taxation respectively.
Before becoming the Head of Mission at Anambra State Liaison Office, Abuja in 2015, she was the Principal Partner of MESSERS. EDITH NNACHETA & CO. LEGAL PRACTITIONERS where she had put in over twenty-five years of work experience as a Legal Consultant, specializing in Commercial Law, Maritime Law, Tax Consultancy as well as Arbitration. She had been a distinguished Marine and Logistics Consultant to Nigerian banks and reputable local and international oil and gas companies.
She is actively involved in women empowerment programs, children’s education and welfare schemes. She was an ex-president of COMMITTEE OF FRIENDS FOR HUMANITY – COFFHA – a charitable organization reputed for touching lives in the area of health and rehabilitation of underprivileged persons.
She is currently the Chairperson of Grassroot Emergency Response Initiative– a Non-Governmental Organization for the eradication of poverty through trainings and skill acquisitions, maternal and child health, and the promotion of girl-child education. She is passionate about a clean environment and has championed issues that affect the environment, waste management, and erosion control.
In recognition of her various humanitarian and community activities, she was conferred with several awards from numerous organizations including Rotary Club and Lions Club. She has also been conferred with many chieftaincy titles by several communities including the prestigious “OKEITE AGULERI,” and “Nwanyi No Na Obi Eze Ihiala.” She is the first and only female member of the Oluoha Cabinet of Ihiala.
Chief (Mrs.) Edith Mike-Ejezie is a long-time political operative, a card-carrying member of All Progressives Congress (APC), and a firm believer in the United Nigeria Projects. She was a member of The Buhari-Okadigbo Campaign Organization, member of the ANPP National Finance Committee, and a part of the Contact and Mobilization Committee in 2007. She was also a House of Representatives Candidate of ANPP in 2007.
She is married and blessed with children.
